Middle College

The Middle College program is an alternative method of education with a small nurturing and creative environment. The Middle College program serves all youth in the Camden County area, from various School Districts. The program hours are from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The classes are held at Camden County College to encourage students to act more responsibly and entice their appetite for learning and success. Upon completion of the program, the students can earn college credits toward their college education at Camden County College or take up to three college courses paid for by CCYD. The Middle College has a longstanding philosophy:“We teach skills for success!”

The students are referred by their School Districts that are ultimately financially responsible for their education. Students in the Middle College program have some academic difficulties, but no extreme behavioral issues.

The goals of the Middle College program are to have students complete High School and pursue higher education after High School, redirect their lives while attending school regularly, achieve academic success, and gain employment. (see scholarships and learning internships)
