Educational and Community Programs
The educational programs of CCYD provide an alternative educational environment to youth who may have not been successful in their traditional educational settings. All educational programs focus on providing youth with skills, services, and information to promote their well-being. We look at the interaction between risk and protective factors and use each youth’s assets so that they may develop healthy lives and become contributing individuals.
All educational programs are comprehensive in scope. The youth are provided the opportunity to match their vocations/job interests with the real world of work by participating in the Learning Internship Program. Parents are provided with effective effective parenting skills that empower them and aid them in becoming more effective parents.
